A fire that burns down with your time

Light the fire and the kindling under the grate catches first. The flames climb into the logs and spread through the wood on their own, the way a real fire does.

Every log is a solid object. As it burns it chars, cracks into chunky coals, and shifts or tips when the wood holding it up burns away. The fire is paced to your timer, so it settles into glowing coals right as the countdown reaches zero. Turn on the fire sound for a soft roar and the occasional crackle.

Good for

  • Cozy study and reading sessions
  • Pomodoro focus blocks
  • Winding down before sleep
  • Background for work or a video call
  • A calm classroom work period

Who it’s for

  • Teachers and classrooms. Put the fireplace timer on the projector or smartboard for transitions, centers, tests and clean-up time. It’s easy to read from the back of the room.
  • Kids and parents. Seeing time drain away makes waiting easier to understand than numbers alone, for routines like brushing teeth, screen time or getting ready.
  • ADHD, autism and visual thinkers. A visual timer shows time passing instead of just counting it, which many people find easier to follow and less stressful.
  • Students. Study sessions, homework sprints and timed exam practice, with a calm visual instead of a ticking clock.
  • Meditation, yoga and relaxation. A quiet, soothing timer for breathing exercises, stretching or winding down.
  • Work and focus. Pomodoro blocks and focused work sessions, with a mini window that floats over your other apps.

Questions

Is the fireplace timer accurate?

Yes. The countdown is exact, and the fire speeds up or slows down a little as it burns so that it reaches its last coals as the timer hits zero.

Can I use it as a Pomodoro timer?

Yes. Turn on Pomodoro rounds and it runs 25 minutes of focus, then a 5-minute break, four times over, with a longer 15-minute break after the fourth round. A fresh scene starts with each focus round, and the browser tab shows the time left so you can see it from other tabs.

Does it keep running in another tab?

Yes. The timer counts real time, so it stays correct while you switch tabs, and the chime still plays when time is up.

Is the fire really simulated?

Yes. Flames, smoke, sparks and ash are all particles, and each log is its own physics object that burns, cracks and falls as its support burns away. No two fires are the same.

Is it free?

Yes. No account, no download, and no pop-ups.
